Basic Manners

A well-mannered dog is a delight to the family and all those who come into contact with them.  Here is your chance to teach your dog some manners that will make it a well-rounded canine citizen that will be welcomed just about anywhere.  This classroom format offers a chance for you to work with your dog as a team in an area that safely provides important controlled distractions that will prepare you for the real world.  We cover basic commands such as ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘stay’, ‘come’, ‘wait’ and other important commands like ‘leave it’, ‘settle’ and ‘watch’.  We will give you valuable information on various topics including reading canine body language (a must in order to communicate with your dog), body handling, nail cutting, and a deeper understanding of how your dog learns.  Handlers are encouraged to help their dogs learn through reward based training that creates a bond built on trust and cooperation.
