Daycare Rules
At Dogspaw we want to ensure the safety, health and comfort of all pets, therefore we ask all clients to comply with the rules, regulations and requirements we have set forth.
VACCINATIONS: All pets must be up to date on vaccinations including kennel cough and proof of such is required. Pets under holistic care or that are not medically able to receive vaccinations require a current health clearance letter from their veterinarian. Summer months (April thru September) dogs will be required to be on a flea/tick/lice preventative program.
HEALTH: All pets must be in good health. If you suspect that your pet may be ill, please do not bring them to our facility. If your dog has been travelling or been in contact with out-of-province dogs please be sure to check them over thoroughly for fleas, ticks, or lice.
SEX: All dogs are required to be spayed or neutered if they are 6 months of age or older.
FOOD: All food brought in to our facility is required to be in a sealed container(no open bags or Ziplocs please) with the dogs name and feeding instructions clearly marked on the container.
BEHAVIOR: All dogs attending the facility for daycare, boarding and classroom training are required to be socialable with other dogs. Dogs that are not socialable will be asked to leave.
ASSESSMENT: Behaviour assessments are required for all dogs attending daycare at our facility for the first time. Remember that although play is supervised, your dog may still acquire the occasional nip, scratch or bite.
AGE: Dogs and puppies of any age are allowed to attend our facility as long as they have clearance from their veterinarian.
ENROLLMENT: Up to date contact information, waiver and veterinarian records must be provided annually once your dog has been assessed and accepted to play at our facility.
FEES: Due and payable at the time of each service. Prepaid packages are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Daycare punch cards expire after 3 months from the date of purchase. Daycare pre-paid passes can not be used in conjunction with sleepover packages. We accept Cash, Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Our daycare closes promptly at 6pm; any late pick ups will be charged late fees and will have to pay at the time of pick up.
HOURS OF OPERATION: Daycare, The Boutique and regular office hours are from Monday through Friday from 7am to 6pm, closed on statutory holiday. Boarding Drop off and pick up hours change seasonally ~ verify your times upon booking.
